Bell boots for my barrel racer?

I have a dark bay gelding who wore out his old professionals choice bell boots and leg boots. I'm thinking that I will stick with the brand but I'm trying to decide my color scheme for when I race. I am in love with these super cute houndstooth bell boots but I don't think it will match my light tan bridle and saddle combination. So I want to know if I should match his coloring, my tack color scheme, or get what shows my style: houndstooth.
