Marrieds: Is it wrong for me to teach her children to call me Momma?

DO NOT teach those kids to call you Mom. You are not, and never will be, their Mom. You will be the step-mom, like it or not. Of course the real mother would not like this. Obviously you have no children of your own, or you wouldn't even be considering this.
