Midnight blue dye! Too dark for brown hair?

I just bought midnight blue from the jerome russell punky colour and I was wondering if someone could tell me if this color gets lighter? I have dark brown hair and the blue streak right now looks black! Please help me! Heres the site! http://www.jeromerussell.com/
